Making a functional teapot requires a plan of basic design elements (size, handle, spout, body shape). At the same time, I love approaching each teapot with a new perspective. I take time to ‘listen’ for new possibilities before adding details that will make each teapot a one-of-a-kind piece. Currently, these teapots (and the lamp to the left of them) are waiting to be bisque-fired, then glazed. I’m already considering what glaze or glaze combination will work best with each piece. It’s a fun quandary, with so many possibilities!
